Mainly of Reverend John Steele, who served as a Chaplain in the 13th Iowa Infantry Regiment 1861-1862, which reflect a strong anti-slavery sentiment and touch upon the Mexican War, 2 letters from his Uncle Thomas Boyd to a cousin recounting family genealogy, 1845-1847.
